On this disk, you should find at least the 5 files listed below. If you
obtained the TRANDEMO.LZH file from a Network service or BBS, after you
extracted the files, you should have all the files listed below except for
the KEYCODE.DAT file.
INSTALL.LZH - The entire Transcendence Demo, compressed
INSTALL.PRG - The Demo Installation program
INSTALL.RSC - Resource file
LHARC.TTP - Yoshi Questor's LZH program version 2.01L
README.1ST - This file
KEYCODE.DAT - This file may or may not be on this disk depending on whether
or not you have registered the BBS program.
To start off with, copy the above listed files to the drive you plan on
installing the BBS on. It is best to copy them to the root directory of
that drive as the install program will create a folder called TRANDEMO and
place the files in it.
Now run the "INSTALL.PRG," it will explain everything for you.
After the installation is finished, copy the KEYCODE.DAT file (if you have
one) to the TRANDEMO folder. It should be placed in the root of the TRANDEMO
folder where the TRANSBBS.PRG is located.
When you run the TRANSBBS.PRG, once it reaches the WaitCall screen, the
BBS will automatically log you on and ask you for your information. This
will save you in User slot #1. This corresponds to Option A on the
WaitCall screen.
Once that is finished, just logoff the system and when you are back at the
WaitCall screen, log onto the BBS using Option D and type NEW at the logon
prompt and enter in the information. The BBS will save you in User slot #2.
This corresponds to Option B on the WaitCall screen.
If you want to start completely over, just delete the TRANS.DAT file and
run the System Editor and follow the prompts. You may want to read over the
TRANSBBS.DOC file first.
If you rename your TRANDEMO folder, make sure you change the Main BBS Folder
in the Drives section of the System Editor.
If you have not received your printed copy of the documentation, you should
have a file called TRANSBBS.DOC. This is a rough draft of the first part of the
documentation. It is 101 pages long so, if you print it out, make sure you
have enough paper. It is set up so it can be printed from the Desktop.
